Designer & Stylist

As an experienced French designer and stylist from Paris, Christina began her first prêt-a-porter women’s wear brand: D.dikate. Several years later, she decided to embark on a more intimate endeavour; one that would embrace the beauty and essence of what makes every bride unique.

In 2011, Christina launched her first bridal fashion line consisting of sustainably made wedding gowns, all designed under her own name: Christina Sfez.  Today, you can find Christina visiting her showrooms in Marseille, France and her newest location in San Diego, California, where she currently lives with her husband and two children.

All collections are artfully inspired by Christina’s love of collecting vintage treasures at local flea markets. Her designs also represent several historic eras: both from Provence where she once lived, and meaningful pieces collected from her travels abroad.

When it comes to meeting with brides, Christina is delighted to provide a customizable experience that reflects each bride in their own beauty and preference. Her goal is for brides to find the dress that speaks to them, meanwhile providing a relaxed and thoughtful environment that supports finding the gown of their dreams.

SUSTAINABILITY

Our mission is to deliver sustainable practices and standards within the bridal industry. We keep zero stock of our collections as each gown is handmade by our small and dedicated team in France. We design with practices that minimize waste and proudly remain plastic-free. We also use recycled materials to create accessories and packaging for our products, and send all fabric scraps to schools, designers, brides, or whoever wants a batch.

All of our basic fabrics are 100% silk (including the lining) that also embrace the natural color of silk that comes from the caterpillar’s cocoon. We do not use harsh chemicals nor artificial dyes on our silk. All colored silks are naturally processed, including the Birdie line (kids line) which is sustainably made from plants. All of our laces are handmade in France through an 8 year partnership we’ve had with embroiderers in the North of France. This lace is sourced from the same place as Chanel, Valentino or other Haute Couture Designers.

UNIQUE

You may customize the fabric of your gown, with the option of choosing a heavier and natural fabric that comes from trees called viscose. We also offer the option for brides to come back with your wedding dress and get it recut at the bottom for you to wear it again (and not stay in the closet unused). All gowns and alterations are made in France, with the exception of gowns ordered in San Diego - alterations will be made locally.
